As i sit to blog this entry, i caught myself staring at my pc screen wondering how i was going to express my disappointment with the crime & lack of responsibility in the country..........20 mins later.........................
My morning is a semi-long but leisure drive to KLIA, spare a few giggles when listening to the radio, singing along to some familiar tunes....but the happy morning, rise n shine feeling soon dissappear as i reach the KLIA toll. Oh wow, i think to myself...while i'm singing away in the car all perked up to start the day...Sharlinie's poster which is strategically posted at the window of the toll booth stares into my face. Then i sink into this sad & disturbed mood, as i collect my change frm the toll girl n driving away.
Are we as Malaysian's not responsible enough to even take care of our children's safety first before anything else in this world? I guess not.....I think the system has got to change towards parenting. We might think, we cant rule out certain things like the American's do....'kita ni lain, tak boleh macam tu'. That comment is a load of B.S! Take for instance how Britney was caught driving with a her son on her lap n she got a citation for that...i knw we're thinking, 'ala benda macam tu pun nak saman'....honestly, that shld be the way, parents should never take their children's saftey for granted.
We all have learnt and went through the ordeal with Nurin's kidnapping and cruel, sadistical murder. I blame the parents for allowing these things to happen...how can you let a chlid wonder around by herself anywhere, this is where we fail to understand. Y? Y? Y? After a shocking end to Nurin's life, yet another set of parents are oblivious to the last tragedy and still let their children out by themselves. This is where i think the system needs to change so that parents realizes the importance of RESPONSIBILITY....Im sick and tired of 'ni dah di takdir kan', another load of B.S! If you had gone to the market with them, to the park with them, watch & n actually spend time with them this whole thing can be avoided.
Since we are fond of leaving our children's safety to 'takdir', it also should be 'takdir' that the parents be arrested for doing so, its only fair....as a person, a woman, a wife, maybe a mother in the future... i will take that responsibility to my grave.
I hope and pray for Sharlinie's safe return.....

110% agreed.
taking responsibility for ones actions has truly disappeared from the malaysian people as a whole. the term 'tolak' comes to mind.

blatant advertising coming up..

Agree with you completely! Also made me feel very guilty - after all we did lose you for almost 30 minutes once when you were not quite three. Sorry...
